Know the starting point before we schedule anything.
These are the baseline service rates. Larger repairs, installations, Scheduled Maintenance scopes, equipment, and specialty projects may be quoted to fit the actual job.
The rates in the order they usually matter.
The service-call minimum is the local starting point. The hourly rate that applies after that depends on the equipment relationship, timing, and type of work.
Within 25 driving miles of Carmel
Covers local travel, mileage, and up to the first hour on the machine. One service-call minimum per visit, not per machine. A five-minute fix is still the minimum. Additional labor is billed in 15-minute increments at the applicable rate.
Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
New customers with equipment I can responsibly support can generally enter at the standard rate, even if the equipment was purchased before we met.
Qualifying equipment purchased through Joe's
Preferred is not a coupon. It comes from a supported equipment relationship with Scheduled Maintenance and required water testing kept current.
Nights, weekends, and outside normal hours
Standard after-hours service is $200 per hour. Qualifying Preferred equipment keeps a lower after-hours rate.
Applicable supported equipment
Used-equipment inspections are billed at this rate before I commit to installation or support. Equipment I helped specify or offered to source and that is then purchased elsewhere remains in this category.
Beyond the local area
Plus $0.75 per mile on distance beyond the first 25 driving miles each way from Carmel. Additional travel cost is communicated before the trip.
Parts pricing follows the same relationship.
Preferred
Manufacturer or vendor list price. Routine stocked consumables and normal parts used during Scheduled Maintenance include normal shipping. Large components, one-offs, special orders, oversized freight, and expedited freight may be charged separately.
Non-Preferred
Manufacturer or vendor list price + 10% + applicable shipping or freight.
Buying through Joe's starts the service history.
The supported relationship can continue through installation, commissioning, Scheduled Maintenance, repair, and the eventual decision about what comes next.
That continuity is what creates the lower Preferred labor rates.
Some jobs need a scope, not a generic number.
Equipment sales, installations, larger repairs, Scheduled Maintenance scopes, parts, materials, and specialty projects may be quoted according to the actual job. If something meaningfully changes the scope, we talk before work simply gets piled onto the bill.
